Call for Papers

SpacSec 2026 invites original, previously unpublished research in cyber warfare, cybersecurity, AI/ML, and distributed space computing.

Scope

Conference scope

SpacSec 2026 invites original research at the intersection of cybersecurity, space computing, and AI/ML.

Security of information technologies and communications remains a key challenge, while distributed space computing requires secure, reliable, and timely processing of mission data such as satellite imagery.

Particular attention is given to artificial intelligence and machine learning methods, including large language models, for analysis and protection of modern digital and space infrastructures.

Topics

Topics of interest

Submissions are aligned to the four conference tracks; reviewer assignment follows track keywords.

Cyber Warfare

Use of digital attacks to disrupt, degrade, or compromise critical information systems and digital infrastructure.

Cyber Security

Protection of networks, systems, services, and data from malicious attacks, including quantum cryptography and secure telecommunications.

Space Computing

High-performance and quantum computing, satellite communications, and signal processing for distributed space systems.

Related Research Topics

Artificial intelligence and machine learning, computer vision and image processing, embedded systems and IoT, and wireless ad hoc networks.

Submission

Submission guidelines

Submissions are handled exclusively through EasyChair using the Springer CCIS format.

Guidelines

  • Submission system: EasyChair workflow at https://easychair.org/conferences/?conf=spacsec2026.
  • Paper language: English.
  • Accepted articles must be 10 to 16 pages in Springer CCIS format.
  • A single author may submit no more than three papers.
  • Only original and previously unpublished work is accepted.
  • Application metadata is filled in EasyChair before the application deadline; the publication file may be uploaded later.

Review

Review process and ethics

Peer review is performed by the program committee; AI-assisted methods must be disclosed.

Review process

  • Peer review and final selection are carried out by the program committee.
  • Submissions are evaluated for relevance, scientific quality, and technical clarity.
  • Notification of acceptance or rejection is scheduled for 20 July 2026.

AI and LLM use

  • Research on artificial intelligence and machine learning, including large language models, is within conference scope.
  • Authors remain fully responsible for correctness, originality, and scientific integrity of submitted work.
  • If AI-assisted methods contribute to the research results, their use must be documented transparently in the manuscript.

Publication

Publication and indexing

Accepted and presented papers are planned for Springer CCIS with Scopus and Web of Science indexing submission.

  • Papers selected by the program committee are planned for publication in Springer Communications in Computer and Information Science (CCIS).
  • Publications are planned for submission to Scopus and Web of Science.
  • Presentation at the conference is required for publication and subsequent indexing submission.
