Scope, submission formats, and author guidance

SpacSec 2026 invites original, scientifically substantial, and previously unpublished papers on cyber warfare, cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, and distributed space computing.

Scope

What fits the program

Authors should be able to judge fit quickly from the site without reading vague promotional copy.

The conference addresses the security of information technologies and communications, cyber warfare and defense strategies, and the development of distributed space computing for secure, reliable, and timely processing of data such as satellite imagery and other mission data.

Particular attention is given to artificial intelligence and machine learning methods, including large language models, as tools for cyber defense, analysis, and dependable processing in modern information systems and space computing environments.

Tracks

Main technical areas

Paper keywords and reviewer assignment are aligned to these six tracks.

Cyber Warfare

Digital attacks, cyber conflict, offensive techniques, and protection strategies for critical computer systems and infrastructures.

Cyber Security

Protection of networks, servers, information systems, quantum cryptography, and telecommunications against malicious attacks.

Space Computing

High-performance computing, quantum computing, satellite communication, signal processing, and distributed processing for space systems.

Related Research Topics

Artificial intelligence and machine learning, computer vision and image processing, embedded systems and IoT, and wireless ad hoc networks.

Formats

Submission types

Different contribution lengths exist so operational reports and early systems work do not have to mimic a full paper.

Conference paper

Original research paper or technically substantial contribution submitted through EasyChair and reviewed by the program committee.

Section presentation paper

Paper aligned with one of the conference scientific directions and intended for presentation within the technical sections.

Plenary or lecture contribution

Invited plenary talks and lectures by leading Russian and international researchers will be included in the program.

Round table contribution

The conference program also includes a round table and discussion-oriented contributions connected to the main themes.

Review and ethics

Originality, peer review, and AI policy

The conference expects transparent methods, clear conflict handling, and honest disclosure of tool-assisted writing or analysis.

Originality and review

  • Submitted work must be original and previously unpublished.
  • The organizing committee invites papers that present substantial scientific interest.
  • Authors should submit work that is suitable for publication and live presentation at the conference.
  • Review and selection of papers are carried out by the program committee.
  • All papers are submitted through EasyChair and evaluated before acceptance or rejection.
  • Notification of acceptance or rejection is scheduled for 22 June 2026.

AI and LLM use

  • The conference explicitly welcomes research topics related to artificial intelligence and machine learning, including large language models.
  • Authors remain responsible for the correctness, originality, and scientific integrity of their submissions.
  • If AI-assisted methods are part of the research contribution, they should be described clearly in the paper.

Where publication details are not final yet, the site says so explicitly.

Publication route

  • Accepted papers are planned for publication in Springer Communications in Computer and Information Science (CCIS).
  • The proceedings will also be submitted for indexing in Scopus and Web of Science.
  • Conference presentation is mandatory for indexing of the paper.

Before you submit

  • Submit all required EasyChair metadata by 11 May 2026, except the paper file.
  • Upload the full English-language paper by 25 May 2026.
  • Prepare the final version and complete registration by 6 July 2026 if the paper is accepted.
  • Plan to present the paper at the conference, since presentation is mandatory for indexing.
